3 Days Mathura ยท Vrindavan ยท Agra Tour Package
From Krishna’s Braj to Shah Jahan’s marble monument โ a comfortably-paced 3-day itinerary that pairs the temples of Mathura and Vrindavan with a full day at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
This itinerary is built for travellers who want the heart of Braj โ Krishna’s birthplace and the temple town where he grew up โ combined with one of the world’s most iconic monuments, without rushing through either. Three days is enough time to walk the ghats of Mathura, take in Vrindavan’s temple rhythm across a full day, and still watch the sun rise over the Taj Mahal.
Day 1 โ Arrival & Mathura Darshan
Mathura โ Krishna’s Birthplace
Arrival & check-in
Pickup from Mathura railway station, bus stand, or Agra airport, and transfer to your hotel in Mathura or Vrindavan. Freshen up before heading out for darshan.
Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple
Visit the temple complex believed to mark Lord Krishna’s birthplace, adjoining the historic Shahi Idgah โ one of the most significant stops in all of Braj.
Lunch & rest
A short break at a local restaurant serving the region’s famous Mathura peda and simple vegetarian thali.
Dwarkadheesh Temple & Vishram Ghat Aarti
Walk through Mathura’s old lanes to Dwarkadheesh Temple, then head to Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna for the evening aarti โ lamps, bells and the river together at dusk.
Overnight stay
Return to your hotel in Mathura or Vrindavan for the night.
Day 2 โ Full Day in Vrindavan
Vrindavan โ Temple Town of Radha-Krishna
Banke Bihari Temple
Start early for the morning darshan window and experience jhanki darshan โ the temple’s signature curtain tradition. Mornings are calmer than the evening session.
ISKCON Vrindavan (Krishna-Balaram Mandir)
A short walk or drive to the ISKCON temple complex, known for its calm gardens, the samadhi of Srila Prabhupada and a well-organised darshan experience.
Nidhivan & Seva Kunj
Visit before the temple’s afternoon closure โ this sacred, quiet grove closes early and is best seen in the daytime.
Prem Mandir
Time your visit for late afternoon into evening to see the marble temple’s detailed carvings by daylight and stay on for the light and fountain show after dark.
Overnight stay in Vrindavan/Mathura
Return to your hotel, or if your schedule is tight, transfer towards Agra this evening to save time the next morning.
Day 3 โ Agra: Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Agra โ Taj Mahal & Departure
Drive to Agra
Depart early from Mathura/Vrindavan for the roughly 1.5-2 hour drive to Agra, timed to reach the Taj Mahal for sunrise entry.
Taj Mahal
Enter at opening time to see the marble change colour in the early light and enjoy the monument before the crowds build up. Closed on Fridays โ we plan around this.
Breakfast near Taj Mahal
A relaxed breakfast at a nearby restaurant with a Taj-facing view, before heading to the second monument of the day.
Agra Fort
Explore the red sandstone Mughal fort on the banks of the Yamuna, including Shah Jahan’s view of the Taj Mahal from his imprisonment quarters.
